We were supposed to meet 10.30am at Woodlands MRT station, but as usual, most of us were late. All of us finally reach at around 11am. Tng wants to buy waffle so we head over to Causway Point. Took a 15min walk to Woodlands Stadium and started our badminton session. Played till around 12.40pm. The girls proceed to Tng's house to bath while the Guys went to the swimming pool for a dip and bathe there. Tng's room is like an accessories store, with so many necklace, bags and shoe!! Tng's mum's photo poster in her bedroom is so big!! The guy reached Tng's house at around 2.30pm, after puting down their "barang barang", we left Tng place. Went to MRT to withdraw money, brought bread and drinks as we were all starving after the exercise.
Took 950 to Woodlands checkpoint. Jamie's took a long time to get her clearance, as she couldnt use the machine to scan her passport!! The journey to Malaysia was quite smooth without much traffic congestion. We headed to change money before we have our tea break at Old Town Coffee. Most of us drank Hazenut cofee as Michelle was full of compliment for it. We also ordered 5 hard boiled agg but they gave us 6, too bad it was not free. The weird thing is that they don't serve dark soya sauce, and it doesnt taste good without it. Shopping spree started. Michelle brought cosmetic from etude house, shorts, and a necklace. Tng and desmond brough contact lenses and magazine. Kiasu Tng also brought her VERY advanced X'mas pressie for her colleague. Jamie brought some t-shirt and shorts. We only left City Square at around 8.30 to 9pm and the guys look so tired and bored waiting for the girls!!
We decided to dine at the seafood restaurant which previously Michelle and Weiwen went. Split into 2 cab, asked the 1st cab if he knew where is the place, and he mentioned that he knows. 2nd cab was asked to follow the 1st cab. In the end, the driver got lost and we only reach the place around 1hr later after asking so many people and turning everywhere. Poor uncle in the 2nd cab must be bored following the cab infront around. We were kind of patrified that the uncle was not able to find the place and bring us to "Holland". It was probably the most adventurous trip for most of us other than Desmond (Yours is probably the dog encounter, SCARY!!) All of us felt so relieved when we reached the place!! Ordered our food and ask the waiter to serve it fast since we were all super hungry!! We ordered Hotplate egg, Cereal prawn, Sambal Kangkong, Stir-fried Ostrich meat, Aysam Fish and Deep fried sotong which tastes like Curry-flavoured twisties!! Total cost of the food was RM170, which we find it very cheap and reasonable.
(Jin Dian No 1) We decided to find a hotel and stay over at Malaysia since it was already 11+pm. The funny part came...(Jin Dian No 2) We asked the MLR Taxi Uncle to take our photo with the signboard. He move the camera left and right and came closer and closer to us, we burst out laughing so loudly!! I guess only we know how funny that was. Asked the driver to send us to New York hotel. Tng and Bryan has to act like couple to book the hotel room while the rest of us stayed outside. We wanted to buy some drinks and snack to eat at the hotel room, so we try to walk to the "nearby" 7-11. (Jin Dian No 3) We didnt manage to locate the 7-11, what worse was that it started to rain so heavily. We had our drinks at the coffee shop. Waited for the rain to be smaller before we went to a hawker with shop to buy eye drop (For Tng and Des as they were wearing contact lense, Tng was "blind" and Bryan had to guide her around), drinks and poker card.
Went up separately in group of 4s and 3s to the hotel room. The room was big and cosy. Spend our whole night playing poker cards. The rule of the card game was that loser will get a pinch, people who get Ace will get smack while people who get Joker will need to tell the truth when being ask a question. (Jin Dian No 4) The first question Jamie asked Thomas was super funny because we really never expect such a question(Cant reveal but we all know *winkz*)!! (Jin Dian No 5) Jamie was the "Ace" person throughout the night while Thomas was the "Joker" person. They got so many Ace and Joker that we were so amazed by it. Knew a lot of secret through the game =x Now we knew who is the sadistic all along!! Played till around 4am, before everyone start to feel really sleepy. First to concuss was Thomas followed by Weiwen. The rest followed shortly except for Tng and Bryan who went downstair for their super early breakfast. All of us was trembling in the super cold room. Michelle woke up and find everyone sleeping, got abit scared and try to talk to Jamie by asking her why Bryan and Tng is not back yet. Now we know that bryan only get hyper and excited when he is lack of sleep. Jamie and Michelle went down to the cafe for the free breakfast but was disppointed with the few dishes which is so cold. Thomas and Weiwen can really "communicate" so well in their sleep.
Bryan and Tng woke everyone up at around 11am. Packed our things and went to City Square for lunch. Have our lunch at Kim Gary Restaurant. (Jin Dian No 6) The place blacked out while we were eating and we were wondering if our "bad" luck have been passed to the shop. Light was on and off repeatedly till we gave hope on it. Proceed to Malaysia custom and took 950 back to Marsilling interchange. Due to all the happenings, we decided to chip in ($8 each) to buy the car plate no of the 2 uncles. (Jin Dian No 7) We further wanted to make sure that our team spirit was passed to the 4d ticket, so we put our hand together and shout "HUAT AH" with the ticket at the void deck of Tng's house. Tng's debrief our trip by asking us not to place so much hope on the ticket as we normally have "luck" only on unexpected things. Too bad we didnt won any money, but i am sure the experience and memories was so much worth than the money.
